FAQ

1
DOES THIS SCRIPT ADAPT TO COMMUNITIES OUTSIDE OF LOS ANGELES?
THE GRAY was inspired by our interviews within the Los Angeles community from 2016-18. We understand that while some themes and messages in our script apply broadly to most communities, there is not a "one-size-fits-all" solution to the complex problem of sexual assault. Thus, like all sexual assault programming, it must be tailored to accommodate the cultural make up of each community.
We encourage you to tweak THE GRAY as needed to make it effective for your community. The script contains music and technological references that relate to today's audience, and enlists each production to preface the performance with sound bites from interviews with members of their own community. Feel free to swap out details or words for ones that more effectively connect with your unique audience.

HOW MUCH ARE THE RIGHTS TO THIS SCRIPT?
This script and toolkit were developed by The LadyParts Collective on a volunteer basis with the help of experts who offered their services to us for free. We offer these tools to educational institutions for free, although we do require a signed agreement and we do request that a written reflection be shared with us afterward, in order to add it to our blog.
Donations and honorariums enable The LadyParts Collective to create more projects that create a positive impact in our community. Three years of work went into making this project possible, and your support keeps us alive!
